How Many Moving Bins Do You Need?
Most people need fewer bins than they expect, because a plastic bin holds more than a medium cardboard box and does not lose shape when it is full. These are the quantities in our standard packages, and they cover most homes of that size.
If you are between sizes, take the larger package. Running out mid-pack is the one thing that genuinely costs you a day, and unused bins go back on the same truck at no charge.

Why Plastic Bins Beat Cardboard for an NYC Move
The difference is not really durability, it is handling. Sealed bins stack flush and roll on a dolly. Mixed cardboard does neither, and in a New York apartment the disposal problem afterwards is genuinely worse than the packing problem before.
