Price/Move Details and Conditions

1.1 If move long distance 

* Move type: Consolidated (For expedited options, please, check with your representative)

– Up to 14 business days from the day customer is ready to receive the shipment: VA, NC, SC, GA, FL

– Up to 21 business days from the day customer is ready to receive the shipment: TX, AL, MS, LA, AR, OK, TN, KS, WI, KY, MO, MI, IL, OH, IN

– Up to 30 business days from the day customer is ready to receive the shipment: WA, OR, ID, UT, WY, MT, ND, SD, CA, AZ, NM, NV, CO, NE, IA, MN

DUE TO HIGH VOLUME, SHORTAGE OF MANPOWER, AND TRUCKS AS SEEN ALL OVER THE NEWS, DELAYS MIGHT OCCUR. THESE ARE NOT ORDINARY TIMES.

If your quote is Hourly Based

* This price can change if more time is required to finish the job! 

* Travel Time charge – for the crew/truck to arrive at the pickup and return to the base upon the job completion! 

All other transactions including hourly based and long distance move

* Online coupons/discounts are NOT APPLICABLE to this rate!

* Price may change based on availability and is not final until reservation is booked with deposit! 

* Move date and time are NOT guaranteed until the deposit payment is submitted! 

* Price is subject to change if the date/time of reservation is changed! 

* Cancellation: 7-day notice prior to the move date is required in order to obtain the refund of the deposit and avoid penalties! 

* Rescheduling: 4-day notice prior to the move date is required in order to avoid penalties! 

*ATTENTION: All jobs booked from the 25th through the 2nd of any month are subject to a penalty of 100% of the total price if rescheduling/cancellation notice is provided within 7 days of the original move date!

*Last minute rescheduling/canceling of materials delivery/pickup (boxes, bins, packing materials) is subject to a penalty of deposit to cover the labor cost! 

* Accepted payment methods: bank wire transfers, credit/debit card, Zelle transfers

* This price can change if the customer has more/less furniture & boxes!  

* Price includes blankets and tape for Furniture Protection. 

* Price already includes free Dollies for the duration of the move. 

* Price includes all fuel, mileage & tolls charges. 

* Furniture must be emptied by the customer prior to the move! 

* Customer must unplug any electronic components – movers will not unplug or install any electronic components! 

* Customer is responsible for Muni-Meter payments! 

* Waiting time charge is applicable if there are any delays caused by customer or building’s management! 

* For long distance deliveries a shuttle truck fee may apply if no access for a 73 foot truck! 

* Big Apple Moving is not responsible for delays due to road traffic conditions! 

* Big Apple Moving is not responsible for buildings’ time restrictions! 

* LOCAL MOVES AND LONG DISTANCE MOVES – FULL PAYMENT 3 to 5 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THE MOVE.

* Customer or his/her legal representative (power of attorney must be provided prior to the move) MUST BE present

at all times of move stages. If not, the customer MUST ACKNOWLEDGE in writing prior to the move that Big Apple Moving will NOT be responsible for any claims regarding the forgotten, misplaced, damaged, lost items or any such claims from buildings management! 

* Storage visit appointment is $75.00 charge. Self move out charge equals ONE MONTH’s storage fee! Appointment must be scheduled in advance for self move out/visit!

BUILDING ACCESS: PRICE ASSUMES NO MORE THAN 100 FEET OF LONG CARRY FROM THE SERVICE ELEVATOR TO THE SERVICE ENTRANCE. PRICE ALSO ASSUMES NO STEPS LEADING TO OR FROM THE SERVICE ENTRANCE OR SERVICE ELEVATOR AND/OR NO ELEVATOR TRANSFERS. Valuation Coverage For Your Belongings

* Your belongings will be covered with free BASIC coverage of $0.60 cents per pound per article (item) by default as required by Department of Transportation.

*TV insurance available at $150 – up to $1000 TV value (off-market price) – if not added the TV is valued at basic insurance which comes with the move at $0.6/lbs per damaged article

*PELOTON BIKE – $100 mandatory handling charge – disassembling and reassembling adds $250 – insurance on PELOTON covers up to $1000 in repairs and costs $150- if not added the PELOTON is valued at basic insurance which comes with the move at $0.6 per pound per damaged article

* If you would like to purchase the optional Declared Value Protection – see details below:

* Any additional coverage MUST be purchased at least 48 hours prior to the move and CANNOT be added on under any circumstances the day of the move!

* For moves into storage additional valuation is for MOVE INs only, separate coverage must be purchased for the MOVE OUT of the storage. 

 

*Additional insurance:

PLEASE PURCHASE INSURANCE: You can purchase an insurance policy from bakerintl.com , or movinginsurance.com. Without insurance you are automatically covered with the 60 cents per pound per article per the official rules and regulations of the USDOT (for example a marble table weighting 30 lbs is only valued at $18).

NOTE: Certificates of Insurance for your building DO NOT cover the items being moved, only a policy from an insurance company (examples: bakerintl.com ,or movinginsurance.com) can protect your house hold goods (or commercial items).

 

Building Insurance – COI (Certificate of Liability Insurance)

We provide COI if it is required by your buildings’ management to perform a move, but it is customer’s responsibility to obtain the requirements from the management and provide them to us via email.

We need the following information: 

1) Who is the certificate holder? 

2) Who is the additional Insured?

Refferal Program

Big Apple Moving & Storage (“our”, the “Company”) offers you the opportunity to earn money by referring friends to use our moving and storage Services (The “Service”). Your participation in the Referral Program (the “Program”) can earn you financial compensation (“Referral fee”). The Company reserves the right to terminate the Program at any time for any reason. The Company administers the Program.These terms (“Terms”) apply to a user’s participation in the Program. By participating in the Program, users agree to use the Program as outlined herein, and consistent with any other terms we may apply to the Program. If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, then you cannot register and participate in the Program. Users also cannot where in so doing, they would violate any applicable law or regulations.

Conditions for Receiving Referral Fee:

A referral fee will be awarded for Successful Referrals who meet the following conditions:

  1. The Referred Customer must use one of the Company’s suggested services.
  2. The Referred Customer must pay in full for the services used by him
  3. Referral must be submitted prior to the customer booking their job with us
  4. The referred client must be a new contact for our Big Apple Moving & Storage thus cannot be in our existing database in any shape or form (i.e. if Big Apple Moving & Storage has established a contact with the same customer or someone associated with them prior to the referral submission). 
  5. The referred customer must be aware of the referral transaction (i.e. Big Apple Moving & Storage will not be a part of general solicitation) 

Eligibility:

This Program will not be applicable where such referral programs are prohibited by law and/or local regulations. Users who refer others to the program are “Referrers”; those who are referred are “Referred Customers.” Referrers may be eligible to receive a referral fee for every successful referral. To be eligible to participate in the Program you must meet the local regulations and restrictions that might apply to programs that include financial compensation, including but not limited to, Minimum age, Language understanding. How the Program Works:

To participate, the user needs to visit https://bigapplemoving.com/referral-program/ fill in the form and follow the on-screen instructions to start referring. You will be provided with an email verification of the referral information. If the Referred Customers use and pay in full for one of the Company services, the referral will be then considered as successful (the “successful referral”).

How Referral Fees Work:

There is no limit to the number of referrals each user can submit.

The refer user may be entitled to a 10% referral fee from the total amount paid by the referred customer to the company.

The referral fee will be subject to verification and will be awarded within 10 business days of full payment received by the Company. Big Apple Moving & Storage may withhold a referral fee if it believes additional verification is required. The Company may also withhold or invalidate any potential referral fee if it appears as fraudulent, suspect, or in violation of these Terms or any law. 

The Company decisions will be final and binding, except where prohibited, including decisions as to whether a Successful Referral or referral fee is valid, when and if to terminate the Program, and whether, if at all, to change the program from time to time.

Liability Release:

Users agree that by participating in the Program, they agree to be bound by these Terms the decisions of Big Apple Moving & Storage. furthermore, they agree to release and hold harmless the Company and their respective parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries, together with their respective employees, directors, officers, licensees, licensors, shareholders, attorneys and agents including, without limitation, their respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, operation or administration of the Program (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses caused by, arising out of, in connection with, or related to their participation in the Program (including, without limitation, any property loss, legal matters,  damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s) and/or the awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of the Program or any referral fee).

Applicable Law:

Except where prohibited, all disputes arising under this referral program participation shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New York, without regard to principles of conflict of laws. The parties to this agreement will submit all disputes arising under this agreement to arbitration in New York City, New York before a single arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). The arbitrator shall be selected by application of the rules of the AAA, or by mutual agreement of the parties, except that such arbitrator shall be an attorney admitted to practice law in New York. No party to this agreement will challenge the jurisdiction or venue provisions as provided in this section. No party to this agreement will challenge the jurisdiction or venue provisions as provided in this section. Nothing contained herein shall prevent the party from obtaining an injunction.
